Who We Are?

The seed of HOPE was sown in an organic vegetable shop in the month of December 2004, where our founder met Shri. Upendrabhai Patel, Chairman Shree Dinesh Mills and a well-known philanthropist in the city of Vadodara.

Being aware and appreciative of the development work done earlier by the founder, Shri.  Patel motivated her to make a new beginning and encouraged her to take an initiative towards the welfare of the underprivileged people. He had faith and was convinced about Ms. Rashmi Wali’s commitment and capacity towards development work, her concern for the society at large particularly towards the downtrodden during her professional career at United Way of Baroda (A worldwide moment) where he had been a Trustee.

The manifestation of Shri. Upendrabhai’s faith in Rashmi can be gauged from the fact that he offered her a cheque even before the organization was registered and even before the requisite bank account of the Trust was opened!

A brain storming session with friends on the name of the Trust led to “Asha” (or Hope) and then it was decided to start – a not-for-profit initiative to facilitate and enable Harmony, Opportunity, Progress and Empowerment (HOPE) in the simple lives of the underprivileged sections of our society. Her motto of dedicated service with selfless zeal and perseverance forms the core value system that drives HOPE.

Our support extends By setting up non formal education program in Delhi, women empowerment programs in Baroda, Mobile Health Clinics in Nurpur (H.P), Mensturation hygiene for rural women , emergency response transport service in HP and Mobile health clinics in Jammu (J&K). Our support enables their smooth integration with the mainstream.
